Turid combines her passion for nature and textiles by creating unique pieces using natural dyes and fibers. She recycles linen, cotton, wool and silk when possible, and gives them new life with colors of avocado, weld, madder, indigo and other plants, often in combination with botanical prints. With the dye paste that she makes from plant extracts, she also works with techniques such as silk-screen printing, block print, mono type and painting. The dyed fabric is turned into scarves, bags, cushions, garments and textile art.
Nothing is wasted in the process, and even the thread cuttings find their place in her work along with scraps of fabric and things found in nature.
Sustainability is the foundation of everything she does, and in addition to her natural dyeing workshops, he also wants to inspire people to recycle and mend their textiles and garments creatively.
